Carlos Paz Bridge

Friday in Argentina was spent in

Villa Carlos Paz. That evening, we viewed the bridge lit up in multiple colors, very cool.

These pictures, courteousy of Paul Avery, are probably the best ones of me.

Thanks, Paul, for the photos. Hope you enjoyed the cookies and the Doritos!! Ha ha!

Coming home

Crossing the Andes Mountains

Howdy!
Sorry, I've been a little tired or playing catch up being back Stateside! I have been back to work and also done a few fun things as well.
My travel transportation all went well. I thank God for that. I had no major problems, layovers, or turbulence. I know people were praying for me. Thank you to all my friends and families who did pray for me! I know God answers prayer!!! It was an encouragement to hear from several who told me they were praying! I am blessed!!!
The day I got back, Lynn and I went to a Twins baseball game versus Kansas City. TWINS won! ;-) Also fun to go to a game when they win!
That Saturday, I attended a Martha Peace conference here in the cities. I enjoyed what she had to say and things of course I need to work on and improve.
And now, I am looking forward to celebrating the Blessed Resurrection, Easter Sunday.
I pray you will worship our RISEN Lord, not just tomorrow, but every day.

Paysandu to Cordoba

Jo Anna, Sofia, and I traveled by bus up to Paysandu. It was an enjoyable time (mostly, except for the side trip to the Policia to file a report). Jo showed me all around her home stomping grounds. It was fun to see Daniel, Carrie, and the boys too. I enjoyed attending their midweek service and worshipping together even though I couldn't understand everything they were saying, but I am picking up more & more words.

Then I took an overnight bus to cross the border into Argentina and arrived in Cordoba Thursday morning. I caught sight of Joanna and Julia before they could find me (someone wasn't paying attention to the incoming buses)--it was fun to catch them before they could get up! Wow! It's been a full three days. I've been walking around the town, as well as Carlos Paz, and today was Kids Club.
Tonight, we made pizza and snickerdoodle cookies for Paul! :-)
It's been a fun trip...can't think about going home in under 48 hours...

Zoo Time--Where the wild things are

I had a great Monday morning at the Durazno Zoo with Paul, Jo Anna, Felicia, and Sofia. It was a quick run through of the zoo, but very enjoyable. There were lots of species to see and it ended up being a sunny day!
The bears were fun to see as the caretaker was in the pen to wash down the area and feed them. We didn't see the tigers up close, but they were out sunning themselves. The lions were penned up nearby but we heard their roars...quite loud!!!
I enjoyed the colorful birds, the flamingos, toucans, and parrots. It was fun!!!!
I'll post the photos later when I can attach them. Thanks for your patience.

Fotos, fotos, fotos

Greeters at the airport! :-) So much fun to meet the newest Harmon arrival.

Old bridge -- just a fun thing to photograph.

Picking up Felicia from school.

A welcome note in my room ;-)

Durazno: A peachy good time

I am spending the next leg of my journey in Durazno, Uruguay with Paul & Jo Anna Harmon, daughters Felicia and Sofia. www.heartofuruguay.com

Today, I made Paul very happy as I stirred up a batch of chocolate chip oatmeal cookies. He had a big smile on his face this evening and a full tummy!

In the 2 days or so that I have been here, I have seen where Felicia goes to school, met a couple of the people that they minister to, and of course, gotten to know little miss Sofia, as she was just born in December. :-) She likes to smile for me! I haven't decided if I will teach her any bad habits before I leave.

I am looking forward to Sunday and experiencing their ministry here.
