Tripping Tuesday

Today was a blast! Chris is on holiday the rest of the week, so he is being our chauffeur. We went down to Watford. Here we were in the shops and the market, looking for a few trinkets. He was also kind enough to take me to the Hobby store...think like Michael's. ;-) I picked up just a couple small things that I will be able to use in my scrapbook for this trip.

Then our fearless leader took us on to St. Albans, and there we went in the Abby. A beautiful old structure...SSSSSHHHHHHHH be quiet! They were tuning the pipe organ, getting it ready for Easter. It is a peaceful feeling to be in this place of worship, even if the beliefs are not all the same. It is a reminder that even though people don't believe as you do, isn't it amazing that almost every one has some sort of higher power that they do acknowledge?

The bible study get together for tonight had to be postponed again...although this week not due to weather, but illness. Stan made pork chops, jacket potatoes and corn for supper.
